Education and Experience
Mrs. Snow graduated from Cal State San Marcos cum laude with a degree in Literature and Writing. While there, she served as president of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society (Alpha Rho Nu Chapter) and the Literature and Writing Club. Many uncounted years before that, she graduated from Carlsbad High School.
Before I was a teacher, I worked in a variety of industries and positions. I graduated high school with the mistaken belief that I could not go to college because my parents refused to pay for it. I entered the working world instead. I worked at Forever 21, Boston Market, and Fry's Electronics before discovering the nonprofit sector. I became involved with a wonderful organization called the International Humanity Foundation, which sponsors schools and orphanages in the poorest regions of the world. Working directly with the founder inspired in me a passion for helping others and a deep appreciation for education--something I had very much taken for granted all of my life.
I spent a semester at a private college in Virginia that I quickly decided was not a good match, came home, and enrolled part time at Mira Costa. I would have a very long road ahead of me before discovering my true calling and completing my formal education.
In the meantime, I worked in real estate marketing, debt negotiation, industrial research and development, and DNA testing for immigration purposes. I learned how to market a real estate business, how to build a website, how to do graphic design, how to lead webinars, how to copywrite, how to settle unsecured debt for pennies on the dollar, how to rebuild credit, how to write technical transcripts, how to analyze engine schematics, how the patenting process works, how to manage a sales team of telecommuters, how to read DNA markers, and how to communicate with Homeland Security and foreign embassies,
