Reading Resources for Students
You may THINK you hate reading, but it is likely because you are reading the wrong kind of thing! Anyone can enjoy reading so long as the material is:
1) interesting to you
2) appropriately matched to your reading level.
Readings that are too easy are boring, and readings that are too difficult can be incredibly frustrating.
To get started, find out what your current reading level is.
THEN look for books that are at, just above, or just below your current level. Reading books that are at/below your level will help you build READING FLUENCY--or, ease and speed. To RAISE your reading level, however, you will need to practice with material that is just slightly out of reach.
(Please note that I am linking to lists on an external website that is subject to change. I do not personally endorse any/all of these books and I cannot speak to whether or not they are appropriate for all audiences.)
